Global Fc statement

This is the official statement released by Global FC on August 8, 2015, in its entirety.

Today is a sad day for Philippine football. Instead of promoting the spirit of fair play and sportsmanship, the core values upon which this sport is founded, unbridled rivalry and unscrupulous intimidation have frustrated our efforts to strengthen our football community.

Global Football Club stands by the facts. First, that player Satoshi Otomo is unquestionably a Filipino, being born of a Filipino mother. Second, that the document “submitted” was issued by a government agency and was thus presumed genuine, giving the club no reason to question its authenticity. Third, that the case was raised when Otomo was no longer part of the team and never played a single minute in the UFL Cup, casting suspicion on the timing and true motivations behind the filing of the case, and questions on the body’s insistence to find fault in the absence of any legitimate and unimpeachable offense.

Not only were these facts ignored; even the rules of procedure were disregarded in the resolution of this case.

Since 2009, Global FC has been a dynamic and passionate member of the United Football League. More than once, we have tirelessly worked to bring honor to Philippine football not only in the national league, but also on the regional and continental stage. Excellence is what defines our achievements in the past seven years, consistent with our vision to be “the People’s Club” and our enduring commitment to always “play to inspire.” We share nothing but the dream of making world-class Philippine football a reality and the mission of training a new generation of Filipino football professionals.

We owe it to everyone who shares the dream that is Global FC to keep untarnished the name and reputation that we have worked hard to build. For this reason, Global FC will appeal this matter to the Philippine Football Federation, in the hope that the country’s highest football governing body will provide a more impartial, enlightened and fair determination of our case.

Global FC is proud of its achievements, not only of the games we’ve won but also of the matches we have lost. Being a good sport can be hard in the face of defeat. But the maturity and courage to admit that we made bad plays on the pitch is what defines sportsmanship and fair play. Above all, that is what defines a true champion. It is sad to see that instead of realizing this, others choose to sow disunity and conflict, putting self-interest above what would serve the greater good of Philippine football.

In the face of all these challenges, Global FC is confident that we will emerge stronger and even more committed to be your People’s Club. To the Global FC family, let’s play on!

  1. Releasing a crap statement..
How about signing players for certain player rufo sanchez and mention its only for a particular tournament.
But end up playing in all other tournament.
End up Singapore football association have to come in to declare that he is not eligible to play in singapore tournament.
If cheating is in you blood it cannot run away..
    Global = quick fixed solution
Same way as pff being run by global owner..

    1. funny you bring that up kasi exonerated ang Global FC sa Rufo case- you can do fact checking. it was not publicized by Global to maintain the industrial peace among UFL clubs. What was crap was the complaint by Ernie the scammer. so there... how you should see this? it's them clubs who cannot win on the pitch or threatened by Global FC's existence na gagawa at gagawa ng mga reklamo at eto namang UFL, will jump on every occasion na ma pin down ang Global. kung sa bagay, favorite clubs nila di maka talo sa Global eh.

Remember the Global FC U19 last year in the UFL? Those are the born 1998 national team members who they recruited to play 3 yrs older than them and later disbanded this year, which they concentrated on Men's again. Even in the U13 UFL they have all national teams in their line up.

  5. "Always fuck off now" Anonymous9 August 2015 at 17:00? When you club has an issue you automatically involved UFL or Philippine Football ? Is that your state of mind always? Ikaw naman Anonymous9 August 2015 at 17:03 , si Eric Dimzon lng ba ang marunong mag criticize sa mali? Pag may mali dapat na ituwid at yan ang kailangan para umunlad ang Football sa atin.

    1. That bastard could be a (1) basketball purist or (2) a player rejected in football tryouts but instead of trying again he resorted to hating the sport or (3) using the word "cunt" he might be fil-aus or british/australian football detrimentalist Or (4) just a plain crab mentality person

    2. What he is saying is he doesn't like your politics. Maybe the guy just wants to enjoy his football. A real sports purist.

At Eric Dimzon nahahalata ka na. Hahaha

Looks like a Global supporter is taking the easy way out by dropping f-bombs instead of raising eloquent arguments.

  7. “Global FC will appeal this matter to the Philippine Football Federation”

Dan Palami is a member of the PFF Board of Governors, manager of the Philippine national team, and the Chairman of the National Teams Committee among others. Do we expect that PFF would rule against the interest of an official of its own organization? Can the PFF truly be impartial?

Even the management of the UFL seems to be downplaying the sanction of Mr. Palami. Global FC a club owned by Mr. Palami was fined 250K and expelled for the use of a falsified document that is crystal clear in the official notice of the decision of the UFL Appeals Committee. The sanctions meted above were the sanctions determined by the FIFA Disciplinary Code Article 61 on Forgery & Falsification. The UFL on the other hand announces to media that the sanction was based only on the breach of the UFL 5 foreigner rule and that Otomo was not eligible to play as a Filipino. No mention made whatsoever on the use of falsified document by Global FC the true basis of the sanctions imposed on Global.

    1. One can expect palami to abuse his power once again to his advantage.
He is doing more damage than good to PFF.
      Well done Palami..

    2. "...expelled for the use of a falsified document that is crystal clear in the official notice of the decision of the UFL Appeals Committee"

What is the competence of UFL to declare such document as falsified? The competence of Global FC? none... so you see, i think it was UFL who abused its authority for declaring it as such and saying it was used to deceive the league.

ikaw naman na commenter saying palami will abuse his power, have you even read the timeline of events? i only got the real story by following the timeline here. mali talaga ng UFL to say na dineceive sila. heck, Global FC signed Otomo as foreigner, then UFL declared him as Filipino WITHOUT the document in question. so who is at fault here? going to the PFF is the only remedy they have here. and dun makikita how UFL tried to concoct a decision without following their OWN due process and rules.

    3. Here is your proof that Satoshi is Japanese and not Filipino. There is no dual citizenship in Japan. For Satoshi to be Filipino he must give up his Japanese citizenship. Satoshi is Japanese playing for a Japanese Club. No need to be an expert to know that if somebody born in Japan submits a birth certificate saying he was born in QC Philippines, then you know the BC is fake! You cannot be born in 2 countries at one time: http://filipinofootball.blogspot.com/2015/08/satoshi-otomo-signs-for-japanese-club.html

  8. What about Minegishi , are the complainants appealing to PFF ?
Minegishi is in the starting XI of Global Fc but has never got a call-up for Azkals. Do he have a filipino passport now ?

  10. The complaint against Minegishi is also being elevated to PFF.

Minegishi if you will recall was part of the 21 man lineup submitted to AFC by Global FC for the 2015 AFC Cup. Minegishi despite the appeal of Global FC for the inclusion of Minegishi was not cleared and was disallowed to play for Global in the AFC Cup.

According to news article there was some kind of administrative error. On the other hand Palami was quoted and stated “We just couldn’t think of a reason why the lineup was disallowed. The line up was submitted before the deadline….unless we are interpreting it differently. We have to check.” Global since then did not issue any official statement clarifying why Minegishi was disallowed by AFC.

For the 2015 AFC Cup Regulations and all other competitions of AFC require

The primary document required based on the 2015 AFC Cup Regulations for any individual to be eligible for registration as a participating player is a validly- issued passport containing the full name, passport number, date of birth, date of issue, date of expiry and nationality of the relevant individual. Group passports are not accepted. A Birth Certificate is only required when requested by AFC.

If to this day the only document Global FC can produce of Minegishi is a Report of Birth common sense and logic tell us in all probability Minegishi was not cleared by AFC due to the inability of Global FC to produce the Filipino passport of Minegishi if registered as such.

Similarly in the 2014 AFF Suzuki Cup the PFF initially submitted a 35-man lineup for the Philippine Team. The completed document of Registration of Official and Players of the Azkals submitted to AFF included Satoshi Otomo. The document contained the list of Official and Players including pertinent details of each player such as players shirt name, birth date, passport number, position and jersey number. Based on the document which was released by AFF in its official website Otomo’s passport number was left blank. We later learned that Otomo was not included in the final 21 line-up perhaps again due to the inability of PFF to produce the Filipino passport of Otomo.

On your last question if Minegishi has a Filipino passport now the logical answer would be in all probability NO if not Global would have surrendered his passport to settle the issue on Minegishi’s nationality status.
